コロナ禍のロンドン到着

みなさんこんにちは！いきなりですが、ロンドンに引っ越しました！
ということで、これからは少々ロンドンに関する内容が多くなります：）

私がロンドンに到着したのは2021年10月。
日本 (東京)はやっと4回目の緊急事態宣言が解除された時期でした。
久しぶりのフライトは空いていて快適でありつつ、乗客も乗務員もコロナ対策万全といった感じ。

しかしながら、到着したイギリスは既に緊急事態も何もなく、地下鉄やお店以外ではマスクをしなくても良いという世界でした。
到着2日目に陰性のPCR結果を受け取り、ほっとしたのも束の間。外出をしてみたらマスク着用率があまりにも低く、ある意味カルチャーショックを受けたものです。大げさに言っているわけでなく、本当にマスクをして歩いている人がいなかった！そして今もいません。

この頃既にイギリスの入国制限は緩和されており、ワクチン接種が終わっていれば到着後2日目のPCRを受けて陰性を確認することで隔離は必要ないという状況でした。

ということで、その条件をクリアした私と旦那は今も適度に出歩いているものの、マスクだけは毎日着用の日々です。しばらくこの習慣だけは、現地モードになれそうにないな～と思っていますが、できるだけ現地情報をお伝えできればと思います。

Arriving in London during the pandemic

Hi everyone! I moved to London！

I arrived in London in October 2021. It’s around the time when Japan (Tokyo) finally lifted their fourth state of emergency.  My first flight in a while was very comfortable and proper precautionary measures were taken by both cabin crew and passengers.

On the other hand, my destination – London was a totally different world! They’ve opened up the city and there appears to be no mask requirement. It came as a shock to see people walking around the city without masks.

Now, both my husband and I received negative results from out PCR tests and started exploring the city, but we are still wearing masks as I don’t think we’ll get used to life without masks for a while.

Anyhow, I hope I can share something interesting in London from now on.
